KEITH COUNTY

A county in western Nebraska with an historic past and a population of 8,335, Keith County chose Smith Kroeger to bring uniqueness and consistency to their brand identity and brand value. The challenge was heightened by the need to have all strategies and materials approved by a volunteer committee with varying interests and tastes.

Smith Kroeger executed a 3-part plan of action. Stakeholder interviews and a brand audit were performed along with customer, competitor, and marketplace research. Brand discovery yielded a unique value proposition, brand position, key message statements and more. Its insights were brought to life in eye-catching new design.

The people of Keith County were united around their refreshed brand identity. The relevant and memorable new brand gave residents pride in place and audiences a reason to choose the County for tourism and business development. A unified brand architecture (municipalities were uniquely branded around the County identity) increased brand recognition and synergy.
